Mirelys graduated in 2002 from FAU with a bachelor’s degree in Architecture. She practiced architecture for the first 4 years of her career and then moved to Urban Design. Architecture became a complement to Urban Design enabling her to have a definite understanding of the urban space. She has a strong sense of design, she lives by the rule of good urbanism, and she believes in the good order that brings the sense of place. These allow her to bring a wide range of skills to solve complex issues. Besides that, she brings a unique quality of graphic knowledge allowing her to express her ideas visually in a clear and concise way.

In the midst of the 2009 economic down fall, Mirelys creativity led her to acquire an Associate in Science Degree in Patisserie and Baking from the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu, College of Culinary Arts. Baking was a hobby that became part of her portfolio and professional experiences. This led her to start an entrepreneurial adventure creating a company: Gateau Couture, Fine Cakes and Pastries specializing in French style pastries and couture cakes. Mirelys Calise: Craft Artist, Architect/Urban Designer, Pastry Chef, and entrepreneur.
